Both do the same job — give your guests a good time and something to remember it by — but in very different ways. The photo booth gives a printed strip and a GIF; the 360 booth, which you may also see called a 360 video booth or 360 platform, gives a short slow-motion video. What your guests take home
This is the difference that matters most. With the photo booth, every shot prints in about eight seconds on a strip with your names and the date. The printer is dye-sublimation, so the strip comes out dry and resists water and fingerprints — it survives a handbag, a fridge door or an album. Prints are unlimited for the whole service, and every shot is also sent as a GIF by QR code.
With the 360 booth, what guests take away is a video clip: slow motion, boomerang or normal speed, set to the music you choose and carrying your watermark or logo. It reaches their phone by QR code or AirDrop in about 30 seconds, in vertical format ready for Stories, and it doesn't rely on the venue's Wi-Fi because the system runs its own local network. Nothing is printed: the keepsake lives on phones and social media.
Either way, the next day you get a private online gallery with the whole event.
How much space each one needs
The photo booth is the easier one to place: about 2 × 2 m is enough, so it fits in a corner of the cocktail area or next to the dance floor. Outdoors it must be under cover, because the printer can't take direct sun, humidity or salt air. Bear that in mind for a beach, a chiringuito or a sunny garden.
The 360 booth needs more: a 3 m diameter circle (3 × 3 m), 2.5 m of clear height with no lamps or beams, and firm, level ground. It can go indoors or covered outdoors. Before you decide, ask your venue whether it has a free area like that: if only one of the two fits, the venue has made the choice for you.
How many people fit at once
Our photo booth is an open booth: there's no curtain or cubicle, so couples, families or a tightly packed group of friends can stand in front of the camera. Shots are quick and, with the props trunk to hand, can be repeated without limit.
Our 360 booth is aerial: the rotating arm hangs from the top of a lit arch and circles the group, so nobody steps onto a platform. It takes up to 15 people at once, although the technician forms groups of 4 to 8 for the cleanest clips. Because guests simply walk in, it's safe with heels, children, pushchairs and wheelchairs.
Who each one suits
Think about your guests rather than the kit:
- Lots of family and older guests: a printed strip makes sense without a phone, fits in a wallet and can be stuck in a guest book. Here the photo booth is the safe choice.
- Big groups of friends: the 360 booth is made for piling in together, spinning as a group and sharing the video that same night.
- Guests who live on social media: the vertical slow-motion clip is made for Stories. The photo booth GIF gets shared too, but the 360 is more eye-catching.
- A bit of everything: that describes a lot of weddings, and it's exactly where combining the two makes sense.
One nuance: because the 360 is aerial with no platform, it's comfortable for grandparents too. It isn't just for the young crowd.
When in the event each one works best
Both are booked by hours of service with guests, with 3 hours as the base, and setup doesn't count: we arrive 90 minutes early and have everything ready. What changes is the rhythm:
- Photo booth: works from the cocktail hour onwards. People drop by in pairs or groups between drinks and keep coming back for more strips as the night goes on.
- 360 booth: comes into its own once the party is in full swing, with the dancing or the open bar. Every take is a group moment directed by the technician, and the confetti cannon is saved for the big moment.
If you're only having one, think about when you want the focus. If the event runs long, each extra hour is €90 (excl. VAT) per service.
What each one costs
The photo booth costs €450 for 3 hours and the 360 booth €550 for 3 hours, both excluding VAT. Both include setup and takedown, a technician for the whole service, the online gallery and travel within the first 40 km of Barcelona; beyond that, €0.45/km. For reference, the from-prices advertised on bodas.net for a photo booth in Barcelona range from roughly €300 to €950 (September 2026). There are fewer public figures for 360 booths, but they tend to sit in the same band as a photo booth or a little above.

Because they don't compete: one gives paper and the other video, and each shines at a different point in the night. With both, the queue is shared out and the family gets their strips while the friends get their clips; you just need room for both.
